SportsDataIO covers the following All-Star and Tournament events for each of the sports below. You can find additional information regarding the coverage of the games below.
NFL Pro Bowl
With the changes to the NFL Pro Bowl in 2022 to switch from playing a regular game to playing a flag football game, SportsDataIO will provide the final score for the flag football game. There will not be any coverage for any other event.
NBA All-Star Game
Coverage for the NBA All-Star game is similar to our regular season games coverage as you will receive scores, stats, projections, rosters, and odds for the game. Each team will be provided a TeamID that can be found in our Teams (All) endpoint. The NBA All-Star game will have a special season parameter that will be used for just the All-Star game. For example, the season parameter that clients are required to use when calling the Schedules endpoint is 2024STAR.
The game has returned to being played East vs. West. Rosters for the game can be found in our All-Stars endpoint.
Odds coverage for the game will run similarly to our odds for regular season games. Odds and props for the game will begin to release 4-5 days before the game is scheduled to begin.
MLB All-Star Game and Home Run Derby
Coverage for the MLB All-Star game consists of scores and odds. Rosters and projections are not available for this game; however, each team will be provided a TeamID that can be found in our Teams (All) endpoint. The MLB All-Star game will have a special season parameter that will be used for just the All-Star game. For example, the season parameter that clients are required to use when calling the Schedules endpoint is 2023STAR.
Odds coverage for the game will run similarly to our odds for regular season games. Odds and props for the game will begin to release around 24 hours before the game is scheduled to begin.
Data for the Home Run Derby will only include odds coverage. Markets will be created once all of the participating players and matchups are announced.
NHL All-Star Game
Coverage for the NHL All-Star game consists of scores and odds. Rosters and projections are not available for this game; however, each team will be provided a TeamID that can be found in our Teams (All) endpoint. The NHL All-Star game will have a special season parameter that will be used for just the All-Star game. For example, the season parameter that clients are required to use when calling the Schedules endpoint is 2023STAR.
Odds coverage for the game will run similarly to our odds for regular season games. Odds and props for the game will begin to release around 72-48 hours before the game is scheduled to begin.
NASCAR All-Star Race
Coverage for the NASCAR race consists of live coverage of the race where we will have leaderboards, DraftKings salaries, and odds. You can find the RaceID in our Races/Schedules endpoint as you normally would for all other races. Additionally, DraftKings salaries can be found in our Driver Race Projections (Entry List) endpoint. However, we will not have projections for the race.
Odds coverage for the race will run similarly to our odds for regular season races. Race odds for the race will begin to release around 5 days before the race is scheduled to begin.
Men's College Basketball Tournament
Schedules, scores, seedings, regions, and all relevant game information for the Men's College Basketball Tournament can be found in our Tournament Hierarchy endpoint. To call this endpoint you must add the 'post' season type (e.g. 2022post, 2023post, etc) to the season parameter.
The current season will switch from the regular season to the postseason on the day when the First Four games begin. You can see our postseason start date in our Current Season endpoint.
On Selection Sunday, the teams will be entered and processed into our API as they are announced on TV. You can expect to receive the full bracket within a few minutes of the Selection Sunday show ending.
Odds coverage for the tournament will run similarly to our odds for regular season games. Odds for the First Four and first round games will begin to populate shortly after the matchups are announced on Selection Sunday and the books release them.
Golf Majors (The Master's, US Open, The Open Championship, and The PGA Championship)
Our Golf coverage for each of the major championships is set up exactly the same as our coverage for regular tournaments. You can expect projections, odds, tee times, and leaderboard updates to be handled exactly the same as non-major tournaments.
Tennis Grand Slams (Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, US Open)
Our Tennis coverage for grand slams is set up exactly the same as our coverage for regular tournaments. You can expect draws, odds, and match updates to be handled exactly the same as 250, 500, and 1000 tournaments.
Men's FIFA World Cup
Coverage for the Men's FIFA World Cup is similar to our coverage for regular matches and other tournaments. Scores and stats are delivered live. Tournament info such as groups, rounds, and schedules is provided.
Projections for the opening round matches are available around two weeks before the games are slated to begin.
For the squads of the participating countries, FIFA will set a deadline for when the final squads must be released. Most squads will be announced either on deadline day or a few days before the deadline. All squads must have at least 23 players, but no more than 26 players. Squads will be updated in our API when each respective country announces its squad. If a player is removed from the roster due to injury, illness, or personal reasons, FIFA will allow late replacements to be made up until 24 hours before the team's first tournament game. In this case, our squads will be updated immediately.
Retrieving odds for the Men's World Cup matches will run similarly to our other leagues. Odds (moneylines, over/under, spreads) will be made available for group stage matches around two and a half months before the games are scheduled to begin. Props for opening round matches will made available about one week before the opening matches begin. Odds for later round matches (Round of 16, Quarterfinals, etc) will be available shortly after the matchups are set.
Women's FIFA World Cup
Coverage for the Women's FIFA World Cup is similar to our coverage for regular matches, tournaments, and the Men's FIFA World Cup. Scores and stats are delivered live. Tournament info is available such as groups, rounds, and schedules.
Projections for the Women's FIFA World Cup will not be available.
